Back-to-back Silver Medal winner from American Distilling Institute. A single-malt whiskey based on the recipe for Great Northern Brewing Company’s Wheatfish Lager. Leads with a nose of honeysuckle and ripe pear from the malted wheat, layered with hints of butterscotch and vanilla. A lighter-bodied whiskey distilled in the Scotch tradition.

Indian Paintbrush
In a shaker:
Add ice
Add 1 oz. Wheatfish
Add 2-4 mint leaves
Add 1/2 oz. simple syrup
Squeeze one wedge of grapefruit and drop into shaker
Shake and pour into rocks glass
Add a dash of bitters
Top with soda water
Hot Buttered Wheatfish
In a mug:
1 ½ oz. Wheatfish
2 generous spoonfuls of hot buttered rum mix
Hot Water
Garnish with an orange twist wrapped around a cinnamon stick
Double Fishting
In a shaker:
1 oz. Wheatfish Whiskey
1 oz. basil simple syrup
¾ oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
Ice
Shake and dump into rocks glass
Top with Wheatfish Lager
Garnish with spanked basil and lemon wheel
To make basil simple: In a pot, dissolve 2 ½ cups sugar with 2 ½ cups water. Bring to a boil. Turn off heat. Add 4 oz. fresh basil. Let steep for 30 minutes. Strain and cool for serving.

In a rocks glass:
Add 2 oz. Wheatfish Whiskey
Ice
Top with sweet tea
Garnish with fresh lemon
