PRODUCER: Architect Wines
REGION IG: Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, USA
GRAPE VARIETIES: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 3% Malbec
ABV: 14.5%
VINIFICATION: Sourced from two vineyards in Alexander Valley, with vines between 10- 15 years old. Vines are planted in a major mixture of mostly rocky and loam soils. 2021 harvest began in late September, and the vintage brought the 2nd year of drought conditions resulting in low yields, with small but intensely flavored berries. After picking, the grapes were cold soaked for 4 days followed by a 7-day fermentation with cultured yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then transferred to 60 gallon oak barrels (75% French Oak and 25% Radoux American Oak) for aging.
