Bruno Riesling Dry

Karthäuserhof was the pioneer of dry riesling in the region. We love to show the great potential and the distinctive character of our cool climate with low degrees of alcohol and lots of minerality coming from the slate.

Bruno by Karthäuserhof is a German Riesling white wine. We believe in great quality and excellent taste. We believe in handcraft, tradition, sustainability and respect. We believe in the unique quality from the labour intense, steep vineyards of Mosel, Saar and Ruwer, in slate soil and small yields. We believe in a great value for money. Bruno of Cologne was the founder of the Carthusian order. On the facade of the former monastery which was founded in 1335, the name Bruno is written in metal letters and accompanies us in our daily challenges: steep vineyards, slate soil and manual work.

The best grapes in Mosel, Saar and Ruwer are grown in steep vineyards with optimum exposition on slate soil. It just doesn’t get more typical and more distinctive for the region. And we want to keep as much of the delicate flavors that the vines and the vineyards offer, so we pick every bunch by hand, gently press the grapes and do as little as possible in the cellar. But we make a major investment: time. Patience always pays off in wine and winemaking. No fining, all natural sedimentation, only sulfur added.

We’ve done everything we can to bottle and preserve the full range of flavors of this unique wine growing region and bring them to your home. These wines are a natural product so for storage, please keep them away from direct sunlight and heat. However, when you open a nicely chilled bottle, drink it wherever and whenever you want and enjoy every sip! As an aperitif, watching a movie or enjoying a meal. They go really well with friends and family. Enjoy these handcrafted wines in moderation.
